The Dawning of a New Era
Ages or Epochs
I am not an Astrologer, and not particularly ‘scientific’ by nature, so I will just offer this quote:
“The plane of the ecliptic is the plane described by the apparent motion of the Sun against the starry background. It is the Earth’s orbital motion about the Sun which causes this apparent motion to occur.”
There, so now you know what a Great Year is! Suffice to say that it is not imagined, it is the path of the sun against the Heavens and the time it takes to return to the same point, namely around 25,800 years.
The last time we were on the cusp of a change was around 2000+ years ago, when the Age of Cancer was being ushered in. Cancer is represented by the fish, in this case a pair of fishes, swimming in opposite directions. Perhaps interesting to some folk then, will be that fishes figures highly in Jesus’ life and ministry; Fishers of Men, the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes which fed the multitude, his life and teachings taking place around the Sea of Galilee and its fishing folk.
The Age of Aquarius
The message for now is that we are entering a Gold Age of hope and enlightenment, one where Love and Compassion will replace Greed and Power. Many prophecies and sacred writings have foretold of such a time.

About 12,500 years ago, we would have been in a similar place in the Great Wheel of Time, exactly opposite our current position, as Leo moved into Virgo. Here’s a little secret I’d like to share with you.
Some people believe that the Sphinx is a lot older than currently taught, that is, over 10,000 years old. This has been suggested by rain damage on the stone it is made from, and the fact that there has not been any significant rainfall in the desert for a very, very long time. So, some of us believe that the Sphinx does not represent a Pharaoh at all, but the shifting of the Ages. How about that! (I could go further and say it was built it as a sign to us, now. Were we those people? And what was the message?)
